Diagnostics / Agent platform picker

Where should your AI agents run?

Six questions about your cloud, your data and your sign-in. You'll get Microsoft Foundry, Google's Agent Platform, Bedrock AgentCore and Claude Platform ranked, with one thing to verify with each. It runs in your browser; nothing is sent.

01 / 6Where do your data and sign-in already live?

Pick the one that holds most of the data the agent will touch.

02 / 6Must data be processed or stored in a specific region?
03 / 6Which models do you need?
04 / 6Do you have a cloud commitment or credits to use?

Ask your account team whether a commitment covers agent hosting and model calls.

05 / 6Who should run the agent loop?

The loop is the cycle of model call, tool call and next step.

06 / 6How much will auditors ask about what the agents did?

How the recommendation works

Where your data and sign-in live counts most.

  • → Where your data and sign-in already live carries the most weight. That is the default rule from our guide.
  • → A region rule, a specific model, an existing commitment, a managed agent loop and audit needs each move the ranking a little.
  • → Points only come from what our comparison states, from vendor documentation checked 14 October 2026. Where the guide could not confirm something, the option gets a question, not points.
  • → Each verify line is the question we would ask that vendor first. Ties mean the deciding factor is outside these six questions.

FAQ

Questions about agent platforms

Are Azure AI Foundry and Vertex AI still the right names?

Not anymore. Azure AI Foundry is now Microsoft Foundry, and Vertex AI is now Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. On AWS, Bedrock Agents is now Bedrock Agents Classic and closed to new customers from 30 July 2026; new accounts look at Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. Names are still moving, so re-check them on the day you sign.

Is Claude a fifth platform or a model on the other three?

Both. Claude models are offered on Microsoft Foundry, Google's Model Garden and Amazon Bedrock, and Claude Platform is Anthropic's own platform, also offered as Claude Platform on AWS. Features differ by path: Anthropic lists Managed Agents (beta) on its own API and Claude Platform on AWS.

Does the picker recommend a vendor you partner with?

We have no partnership with any of these vendors. We deploy where your data lives, and the scoring follows our published comparison, which cites each vendor's own documentation.

What does the picker leave out?

Prices, private networking in your setup, and features that are still in preview or beta. Treat the ranking as a shortlist and the verify lines as questions for each vendor, then settle the choice in a pilot or a scoping sprint.
